Dear fellow business owner
I have been struggling with this website speed problem forever.
How many of following things ring a bell...
- You are paying for expensive "managed" hosting, yet your pages slow to a crawl, especially on older mobile devices.
- Your site looks good but loads so slowly that actual customers bounce. Often, the highest caliber ones.
- You are optimizing images through plugins etc., but the site is still sluggish. You can feel it yourself as you browse it.
- Your own latest flagship cellphone gets hot as you browse your own website.
- You find yourself constantly navigating pages on the site, hoping caching will make it feel speedier, but deep down you know your customers aren't doing that.
- Slow site speed is simply causing your business money, because people are bouncing away without even giving your product or service or offer or content a chance.
Sound familiar?
That was me.
For a long time. I found that there are plenty of image compression solutions out there. But most of them work real time ...
- On either server side (taxing your webserver, which is expensive infra, and let's face it - your host isn't exactly putting your site on Apple's M series processors, it's server grade slow per core performance boxes) which makes your website crawl.
- Or, on user side - which is ok when they have a modern laptop, or even a new high-end phone, but completely breaks down when you know most of your customers have slower, older devices. The site feels sluggish, it stutters on their device, and heats up their device. Pushing them from "I should maybe buy this product" headspace to "Why is my phone so slow today?" headspace. You can guess what that does to conversions.
- Or both. Which is the worst thing. And also the most ubiquitous.
This is why I created Press That Image. PTI, for short.
For myself.
My own sites. Because enough is enough.
Not throwing shade at any tech out there - I used literally every single one of PTI's competitors, and had varying degree of success.
But let's face it - some of them are optimizing for pretentious webscores while making your users hate the experience, others kill your servers while trying to service users.
There are no good solutions. Or at least, there weren't.
Until PTI.
So scroll down and see how we do things differently. Your website, your customers, and likely your own wallet will thank you for it.
